Channel Group Connections

Before T1 bandwidth is allocated for a channel group, the channel group connection must be made.
This can be done with the Make Channel Group Connection (mkcgc) command. To disconnect a
channel group, execute the Break Channel Group Connection (brcgc) command.

Acquire Channel Groups

The Acquire Channel Groups (accg) command uploads channel group configuration data from the
ACCULINK network to the 6800 Series NMS. This data includes channel group names, channel
group endpoints, channel group routing choices, channel group routing specifications, and attribute
routing requirements.
This command can be used when uploading ACCULINK network information to a newly installed
6800 Series NMS, or to recover after a failure. It must also be used when channel groups are
created, deleted, or changed using the terminal interface to the multiplexers instead of the 6800
Series NMS. In that case when the NMS is bypassed to configure channel groups, the channel
group table will be out of synch with the network until the Acquire Channel
Group (accg) command is executed.
Other commands related to channels and channel groups are listed as follows.
These commands are described in the COMSPHERE 6800 Series Network Management System
Multiplexer Command Reference Manual.
