Displaying the Configuration Menu

Several types of parameters must be set in the 719 NETWORKER so that it can communicate with
other parts of the network. First, the parameters are defined in profiles. Then the profiles are
assigned to the 719 NETWORKER channel ports that are connected to other nodes. These profiles
are defined and assigned from the Configuration menu.
To display the NETWORKER Configuration menu,
1. At the (Node 0) menus (y/n) prompt:

4. Go to Defining System Parameters.

Defining System Parameters

System parameters are identification and setup values used by the 719 NETWORKER to handle
incoming and outgoing data.
If your workstation has a local printer attached, you can select the option and print a copy of the
screen that contains the parameters. You may find it helpful to use some of the factory-set values
or refer to some of them at a later date.
Parameters must be entered manually. Do not use the Generate Routing Tables (grt) command
from the NMS.
