Defining an Event Log Printer

If a printer is attached to the 719 NETWORKER for printing a local copy of network events, you
must define an event log printer (ELP) profile and local channel group.
To define a profile for an ELP port, use the procedures described previously in this chapter in
Defining a Profile for a Channel Port, the fields should match those shown below:
Once you have defined a profile for the ELP port, you must assign that profile number to a channel
port. To do this, use the procedures described previously in this chapter in Assigning a Profile to a
Channel Port.
After you assign the ELP profile number to a channel port, you must define a separate local
channel group for the ELP channel port. The procedures for defining a local channel group are the
same as those described in Defining a Channel Group for a Terminal or PC. In Step 3, the
parameters (except the Group Members field) should match those shown below:
