copper (DAC) breakout cables are suitable for in-rack connections between servers and
the ACX5000 routers.

describes the Junos OS software releases that support third-party
DAC breakout cables. Earlier releases do not support third-party breakout cables.
You can use breakout cables purchased from a third party. These cables should meet
the specifications described in
