You can monitor and manage the ACX5000 router using a dedicated management
channel. ACX5000 routers have a minimum of two management ports:
a 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ-45 port and a 1-Gbps SFP ports. Some product SKUs have an
additional 1-Gbps SFP port that can be used either for fiber or copper connections. Use
the management ports to connect the ACX5000 router to a network for out-of-band

management.

CAUTION:
Configuring the two management interfaces within the same
subnet is not supported.
NOTE:
You cannot use the management ports to perform the initial
configuration of the ACX5000 router. You must configure the management
ports before you can successfully connect to the ACX5000 router using these
ports. See
