The Management Module's Password

Press Enter on the keyboard and the Boot Menu will appear. If not, you will
be asked for a password as shown in the figure below.

There are several important issues regarding the password:
The password is a feature of the HMM. When moving a HMM from one
Compaq Storage Hub 12 to the next, the password moves with the
HMM.
The default password set at the factory is ADMIN. It is case-sensitive.
New passwords will also be case-sensitive.
If the new password is forgotten, the password can be reset by using the
access code for that particular HMM. It is on the sticker that was
originally attached to the anti-static bag in which the HMM was
shipped. Type access: abcdef instead the password, where "abcdef" is a
six character alphanumeric string given on the sticker. This will reset the
password to ADMIN.
If an incorrect response is given, the message will reappear and continue
to do so until either a correct password or special access code is given.
Once successfully logged in, some device-specific information and the Hub
Main Menu will be displayed.
Selecting 1. Reset hub and run self-test will reset the Compaq Storage Hub
12 hub the same way power-on or pressing the reset button would.
IMPORTANT: Reset the hub only when necessary because this erases any data in RAM.
Any management data or statistics accumulated during normal operation will be lost.
