You can define your own fields. The default sort is by Date/Time. Sort on any
field, such as serial number, to see if just one device is responsible for a
majority of events or sort by event to get a clearer picture of a repetitive
problem.
IMPORTANT: Like all log files, HMU.log will continue to grow in size by each HMU
session's events. Occasional cleanup is a good idea to save disk space. If you wish to
keep a history, write what you want out to another file. Delete HMU.log completely and a
new one will be created automatically on startup if it is missing.
NOTE: In the Windows interface, you can rename any closed HMU.log to HMU.csv. Then
simply double-clicking HMU.csv will launch Excel and open the file. You are prohibited
from renaming a currently opened HMU.log file, but you can copy it.

To check the version number of HMU that is running, do the following from a
SAN View screen:
1. From the menu, select Help, About HMU.
2. Click OK.
