Check Managed Device Serial Numbers
From the Expanded Device View, click the System ID tab. In this view, serial
numbers can be checked in the Identification pane.
Show Device Properties
From the Expanded Device View, click on the System ID tab. In this view,
detailed data will appear about the selected device. You can change the
Location and Contact fields on this tab by clicking the Update button.
Change Device Location and Contact
Location and Contact information can be changed for a device. To change
either of these fields, do the following:
1. Click the System ID tab.
2. Enter a device location and/or a contact name.
3. Click Update.
Check Power, Thermal, and Up Time
In both Device View and Expanded Device View, the LEDs for fan, voltage,
and temperature display their current status in the lower right corner. If any
box is clicked for fan, voltage, or temperature in either view, the
Environment dialog box will open. From the Expanded Device View, click
on the Environment dialog box. In this view, the status of the power supply,
thermal conditions (indicated by the animated fan and thermometer), and up
time can be checked.
NOTE: Fan, voltage, and temperature faults force their associated LEDs in Device View to
go from green to red and to flash to attract attention. These faults also force the device
icon to go to red.
Set/Cancel Port Bypass Control for the hub
When you click the Ports tab, complete port information appears. This screen
offers the option to force the bypass of a port using the HMU software. The
device on that port can remain connected to the hub, but it will not be allowed
onto the loop. This is referred to as a manual or forced bypass. The device icon
will remain green, but the change in status will be logged.
