… Set Sample as Target

Sample data can be copied to target data and registered.
Display the sample to be set as the target on the <Sample> screen in advance.
Setting Procedure
Memo
• Color difference targets are stored with setting numbers from 0001 to 2500 being assigned. Even if the data at some
point is deleted, these setting numbers do not change. It is useful to group data by assigning numbers of specific digits.
• To set more accurate color difference target data, use average measurement to measure the target specimen. For
details, refer to the section on average measurement (P.87 and 88).
Notes
• Unlike with samples, the numbers assigned to color difference target data do not change automatically.
When measuring colors continuously to set color difference targets, the cursor must be moved manually to
set each data.
• This function cannot be used if the target is protected or if the filter is enabled.
1
Use [▲] or [▼] to move the cursor to "Set Sample as
Target", and then press the [Confirmation] key.

displayed. Use [▲] or [▼] to move the cursor to the
color difference target number, and then press the
[Confirmation] key. When the target data is set, the
screen returns to the <Target> screen.
• If [ESC] is pressed without pressing the [Confirmation]
key, the screen will return to the <Target> screen.
Notes
If a number to which color difference target data has
already been set is selected, a message is displayed to
confirm overwriting. Use [◀] or [▶] to select "OK".
Moving the cursor to "Cancel" and pressing the
[Confirmation] key will cancel the deletion, and the
screen will return to the <Data management> screen.
Start the procedure from the <Sample menu> - <Data management> screen.
