„ Opacity Measurement
The transparency and opacity of paper are displayed as numerical values.
If the specimen is opaque, the value is determined only by the brightness of the specimen with no influence from
the background, so the value for a white background will be the same as for a black background, and the opacity
value (OP value) will be 100%.
Memo
Manual averaging cannot be used in Opacity mode, and the measurement conditions are only SCI or SCE. SCI+SCE
cannot be selected.
Notes
To measure in Opacity mode, the target must also be measured in Opacity mode. In addition, when measuring
according to a specific international standard, the visual field and the light source must also be set according
to the standard.
Preparation

Select "Opacity" under <Measurement cond.> - <Measurement mode>.

Press [ESC] on the menu screen to display the <Target> screen.

Selecting or measuring a target
Select a target measured beforehand in Opacity mode, or measure a new target in Opacity mode. Press the
cancel button during the operation to return to the screen before measurement.

Measuring a sample
Press [
