Be sure the serial number for the TGM550 you enter is correct. The serial

number is case-sensitive, and if entered incorrectly, will prevent the server from
communicating with the TGM550. This number is available from a sticker
attached to the TGM550 or can be identified with the show system command
on the TGM550.
6. Enter y or n in the Encrypt Link field.
7. Complete the Network Region field with the value supplied in the planning documentation.
8. Enter the location number in the Location field. Since the location sets the timezone and
daylight savings rules, you normally assign the same location as that of the server.
However, check the Locations screen for the correct number using the command display
locations.
You may have a different location from that of the server if location parameters for the media
gateway must differ for such parameters as international access code or companding mode.
9. Enter the number of the recovery rule, if any, in the Recovery Rule field. The auto-fallback
recovery rule is set on the system-parameters mg-recovery-rule screen.
10. Enter any descriptive information desired in the Site Data field.
11. If you are administering the Communication Manager prior to installing the J-series router,
complete the Module Type fields so that the TGM550 and TIMs in each Vx field match the
equivalent slot number in the router. For example, V1 equals slot 1 in the router.

If you install the Juniper Services Router and TGM550 before you administer

12. If specifically requested by the customer or your planning documents, type
gateway-announcements in the V9 field.
This field allows you to enable announcements on the TGM550 media gateway. V9 is a
virtual slot. There is no announcement board associated with it. The announcements for the
TGM550 are available in the TGM550 firmware and are administered in the same way as
