Installing an IG550 Integrated Gateway with the CLI
IP address of router's umd0 modem interface and <IP_address2> is the outgoing IP
address over the umd0 modem interface.
For example, type:
set interfaces dl1 unit 0 family inet address 10.6.151.249/30 destination
10.6.151.250, where dialer 1 uses 10.6.151.249 as the incoming IP address from the
modem interface and sends 10.6.151.250 as the outgoing IP address.
set access profile
chap-secret "
where
established for the dialer and will contain the client name,
that is dialing in over the modem, and
characters for the host computer to use as an encrypted password.
For example, type:
set access profile jtr client jtr1 chap-secret "$9$XiHPQ/9pRclZntOIYeKjobUk",
where the access profile jtr, used by dialer 1 to find a chap secret, contains a client
(login) called jtr1 with an encapsulated chap secret (password) of $9$XiHPQ/
9pRclZntOIYeKjobUk.
5. At the configure prompt (#), type commit.
6. At the configure prompt (#), type show access.
The chap secret for modem access appears.

To complement the USB modem setup for remote dial-in, you must turn off IP
