Replacement
After a coltision in which the airbags were deployed, the
airbag assembliss and the SRS unit must be replaced'

CAUTION:
. Always disconnoct thc airblg connoctol(s) when the
harness is disconnactad.
. Oo not disa3semblo or ttmper with ths airbag'
NOTE:
. Do not install used SRS p8rts from another vehicle'
when repairing, usa onty new SRS parts'
. CareJully inspect the airbag before you install it
Do
n o t i n s i a l l 8 n a i r b a g t h a t s h o w s s i g n s o f b e i n g
droooed or improperly handled, such as dents'

1.
Disconnect the battery negative cable' then discon-
nect the positive cable from the battery' and wa't at
least thtee minutes.
2.
Disconnect the airbag connector(sl:
Driver's Side:

Remove the access panel from the steering
wheel'
then disconnect the 2P connector between the driv-
er's airbag and cable reel'
NOTE: When disconnected, the airbag connector
is
automaticallY shorted

NOTE: When disconnected, the airb8g connoctor ls

Remove the sirbag(s):
Diivar's Side:
o Remove the two Torx bolts using a Torx T30 bit'
then
remove the driver s airbag'
