DTC 2-5 - Without Front Passenger's Airbag
CAUTION: when€ver the ignition switch i3 ON (ll), ot
has been tutned OFF fot less than thres minutos, be
careful not to bump the SRS unit; the sirbag could acci'
dentally deploy and cause damago or iniuries.
Try to reproduce tho SRS indicator lightl
l. Erase the DTC memorv tsee psge 24_15).
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (ll), and check thal lhe SRS indi-
cator liqht comes on for about six seconds and go€s off
Chock for e short to ground in tho SBS main halne3si
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. then disconnect
the Dositive cable, and wait for three minutes'
2. Dis;onnect the driver's airbag 2P connector from the
cable reel2P connector (see page 24-11)
3. Disconnect the SRS main harness 18P connector lrom
the sRS unit.
4. Check resistance belween No lO terminal of the SFS
main harness 18P connector and ground, and belween
the No. 14 terminal of the SFS main harness 18P connec_
