Troubleshooting
DTC 1-4
CAUTION: Whenever the ignition switch is ON fll), or
has been turned OFF for less than three minutes, be
careful not to bump the SRS unit; the airbag{s) could
accidentally deploy and cause damage or iniuries.
Intormittent failure, sydem is OK atthis time. S€e Trouble-
Inlermittent Failures on page 24-15.

Try to reproduce the SRS indicator light:
1. Erasethe DTC memory (see page 24 15).
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (ll), and checkthatthe SRS indi
cator light comes on for about six seconds and aoes off,
Does the SRS indicrtor liqht stav on?
Check for a shon to power in the driver's airbag inflator:
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the battery negatave cable, then disconnect
the positive cable, and wait lor three minutes.
3. Disconnect the driver's airbag 2P connector from the
cable reel 2P connector.
CAUTION: Do not disconnect the passong€r,s airbag
connactor.
4. Connect the SRS service connector (2 O) to the cable reel
2P connector.
5. Reconnect the battery posiitive cable, then reconnect the
negative cable.
6. Erase the DTC memory (see page 24-15).
7. Read the DTC (see pase 24 t3).
Short to power in the driver's airbag intlator; replace
Check lor a short to power in the cable r€el:

c a b l e r e e l 2 P c o n n e c t o r f r o m t h e S R S m a i n h a r n e s s .
