Using Paper Not Specified to Any Tray: Paper Setting
Each paper tray has been preset with paper size and other specifications.
If you want to use another paper than any loaded in the trays, follow the pro-
cedure below to change the setting of the tray to be used.
Note
When starting a job after a setting change has been made in paper type
(e.g., from Plain to Fine), it may take a certain period of time before cop-
ying operation becomes available due to the fixing temperature adjust-
ment.

Custom sizes can be registered from the Machine Status Screen by
touching the [Custom Size Reg.] key. For details, see POD Administra-
tor's Reference.
The minimum size available in custom size setting can be changed. Con-
tact your service representative, if desired.
Available minimum size varies depending on the tray to be used.
Paper type specifications are described in POD Administrator's Refer-
ence.
Prerequisites
0 When setting a wide size, be sure to specify the precise dimensions of
paper to be used. The dimensions of the wide sizes provided on the Size
Setting Screen are not correctly programed in the initial setting.
0 The paper setting programed for a tray following this procedure will be
cleared when a new setting is applied to that tray. If the programed set-
ting is desired for future use, register it. See page 9-55 for details.
