Troubleshooting Tips

Main Body

The machine does not

sub power switch are
on.

gin after pressing

or trimmer stacker cover
open?
Is the original glass clean?
Is the original document
clean?
Is the copy density adjusted
properly?
Is the copy density adjusted

Is the message "Please add
toner" displayed on the Ma-
chine Status Screen?
Is copy paper damp?
Is Reduce & Shift function se-
lected?
Is any mishandled paper left?
Is ADF open?
Remedy
Firmly insert the power plug in wall
socket.
The machine cannot be turned on
due to the Weekly Timer function.
See page 2-33 to operate Timer In-
terrupt, or consult your administrator.
Enter required information for au-
thentication. See page 2-35 for de-
tails.
Securely close the front door and left
side door of the machine.
Load the paper size selected for the
original.
Enter an appropriate number for print
quantity.
Securely close the finisher door.
Securely close the trimmer unit front
door and trimmer stacker cover.
Wipe the glass, if necessary.
Erase spots on the original, if any.
Manually specify copy density to se-
lect the appropriate exposure level.
If further adjustment is required, see
POD Administrator's Reference.

Add toner.
Replace the paper, if necessary.
Consult your service representative.
