• Start at front center of opening and move
outboard in both directions
• Tap retainer into place, finishing at rear
handle location

• Apply pressure to force lace over retainer
from front to rear

Remove or Disconnect (Figure 14)

Weatherstrip (35) - a hot air gun or adhesive
removing solvent can be used to help break the
bond and clean out any remaining adhesive.
Install or Connect (Figure 14)
Adhesive to gutter (40)
Adhesive to weatherstrip (35)
Allow adhesive to become tacky before installing
weatherstrip.
Apply a bead of adhesive between outboard
periphery of weatherstrip and body opening (41)
to prevent water seepage. Do not plug drain
holes.
Watertest with a soft spray of warm or hot water.
