PROBLEM
Transmitting is impossible.
The displayed frequency does not
change when [DIAL]S is rotated..
A Programmed scan does not start. • The VFO mode is not selected.
A Memory scan does not start.
Cannot receive on the SUB band.
While transmitting, automatically
switches to reception.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
• The PTT Lock function is activated.
• The Busy Lockout function is activated.
• The frequency is out of the amateur band.
• The Lock function is ON.
• The Memory or Call channel is selected.
• The same frequencies are entered into the
scan edges.
• The Memory mode is not selected.
• 2 or more memory channels have not been
programmed.
• The SUB band mute function is activated.
• The Time-Out Timer function is activated.
SOLUTION
• Set the PTT Lock function to OFF in EXMENU.
• Set the Busy Lockout function to OFF in EX-
MENU.
• Set the amateur band frequency.
• Turn OFF the function.
• Push [V/MHz SCAN]S to select the VFO mode.
• Push [V/MHz SCAN]S to select the VFO mode.
• Enter different frequencies into the scan edg-
es.
• Push [MR CALL]S to select the Memory mode.
• Program more than 2 Memory channels.
• Turn OFF the function.
• Turn OFF the function.
