D Receive mode during a scan
• The selected mode is used by the scan.
• During a memory or bank scan, the channel's mode is used
by the scan.

D When a signal is received
When a signal is received, the scan pauses for approximately
10 seconds (default), and then resumes.
The scan resumes approximately 2 seconds (default) after
the signal disappears.
To manually resume the scan, rotate [DIAL]S.
• These settings can be changed in the "PAUSE" (Pause Tim-
er) item or "RESUME" (Resume Timer) item of the MENU
mode. (pp. 12, 21)
D Scan name
A desired name can be entered to each Program scan edge.
(p. 39)
When the scan name is entered, it is displayed on the scan
type setting screen.

Displays the scan type

■ Entering scan edges

Enter the higher and lower frequency edges as the scan edge
range for programmed scans.
Each program scan edge range has its own tuning step and
operating mode settings.
The default settings differ, depending on the transceiver's ver-
sion.
You can enter a total of up to 25 program scan edge ranges.
