Do the following checks show a problem?
1
• Sensor No Paper (PL17.3.4) installation
• Actuator No Paper (PL17.3.5) installation
• Link Actuator (PL17.3.6) installed
2
Does the error occur even when paper is added?
Link Actuator (PL17.3.6), Actuator No Paper (PL17.3.5)
3
Operate the Link Actuator manually and check.
Does the Link Actuator and Actuator No Paper move smoothly?
Sensor No Paper (PL17.3.4) check
4
Use the Sensor No Paper diagnosis tool to carry out a Digital Input Test.
Sensor No Paper functioning normally?
Power supply to Sensor No Paper (PL17.3.4)
1. Disconnect the P/J83 connector from the PWBA Feeder (PL17.4.1).
5
2. Measure the voltage between P83-5 <=> P83-6.
Is there 3.3V DC between P83-5 <=> P83-6?
Harness Assy Feeder 3T (PL17.4.4) and Harness Assy NPRSJ (PL17.4.11) continuity
1. Disconnect the P/J83 connector from the PWBA Feeder (PL17.4.1).
2. Disconnect the P/J832 connector from the Sensor No Paper (Tray 3). (Refer to Ch4-
4.2.20.36)
3. Check the continuity for the following lines.
6
J83-5 <=> J8220-3/P8220-1 <=> J832-3
J83-6 <=> J8220-2/P8220-2 <=> J832-2
J83-7 <=> J8220-1/P8220-3 <=> J832-1
Is there continuity between each terminal?
PWBA Feeder (PL17.4.1) sensor signal check
1. Disconnect the P/J140 connector from the PWBA MCU & HVPS. (Refer to Ch4-4.2.18.1)
2. Close the I/L Switch of the PWB Drive (PL15.1.15).
7
3. While operating the Link Actuator (PL17.3.6) manually, measure the following voltage.
P/J83-7 <=> P/J83-6
Is the voltage between P/J83-7 <=> P/J83-6 +3.3V DC at the no paper condition, and 0V
DC when paper is present?
