3 = System Time
The System Time setting (often called the Open and Closed Schedule) is used by the
OM-VML Voice Processor to determine when to play the holiday, night, or regular
office hours greetings. The OM-VML verifies the current time and selects the
appropriate greeting to be played. A generic greeting is played when no greeting is
recorded. The following parameters are used when setting the system time:
1 Set office Hours - This is the time during the day that the office is considered
open. At default the time is set to 08:00 to 17:00 (5 pm) and can be changed by
entering in a new 8 digit time. For example, to change the open schedule from
8:00 to 5:00 to 9:00 am to 6:00 pm the enter, in 24 hour format, will be 09001800.
During that time the Regular Hours Greeting will play. Any time before 9:00 am
and after 1800 (6:00pm) the after hours greeting will play.
2 Set Saturday Hours - Program Saturday hours using this parameter in 24 hour
format. If no Saturday office hours are needed leave it at default. Sunday will play
the holiday greeting from Midnight Saturday (00:00) until Midnight Sunday
(00:00). This greeting can be customized for each installation.
3 Lunch Hours - At default, no lunch hour(s) is defined. If a special lunch break
greeting is desired then this time must be set. For example, to activate a lunch
greeting from noon to 1 pm the entry is 12001300. This activates the lunch
greeting automatically at 12 noon and it will play until 1 pm. At 1 pm the voice
processor will verify the open and closed schedule and play the appropriate
greeting.
Note:
The voice processing system time and date, for envelope information, is
synchronized with the telephone system. Therefore, once the KSU time and
date is set, so too is the voice processing.
4 = Holiday Schedule
Up to 100 holidays can be predefined in the OM-VML. Once a holiday is defined, it
will play a special Holiday Greeting if it is recorded in the Record Greetings section.
If no holiday greeting is recorded, the generic after hours greeting is played. The year,
in four digit format must be entered before each holiday.
1 Listen to current data - This will play all of the currently programmed
holidays in the order that they were entered.
2 Set the holiday dates - Enter the dates for each holiday in four digit format. For
example, enter January 1 as 0101 and press # to save the entry.
