Oil Clearance of Camshaft Journal
1. Measure the camshaft journal O.D. with an outside micrometer.
2. Measure the cylinder block bore I.D. for camshaft with an inside
micrometer.
3. Calculate the oil clearance.
4. If the clearance exceeds the allowable limit, replace the
camshaft.

Oil Clearance between Idle Gear Shaft 1, 2 and Idle Gear 1, 2
Bushing
1. Measure the idle gear shaft O.D. with an outside micrometer.
2. Measure the idle gear bushings I.D. with an inside micrometer.
3. Calculate the oil clearance.
4. If the oil clearance exceeds the allowable limit, replace the
bushing.
