Camshaft Alignment
1. Support the camshaft with V block on the surface plate.
2. Set a dial indicator with its tip on the intermediate journal at right
angle.
3. Rotate the camshaft on the V blocks to get the misalignment
(half of the measurement).
4. If the misalignment exceeds the allowable limit, replace the
camshaft.

Cam Height
1. Measure the height of the cam at its highest point with an outside
micrometer.
2. If the measurement is less than the allowable limit, replace the
camshaft.
