7.13.7.2 Debugging a Caller ID Detection on FXO
SIP User's Manual
http://ArtTel.ru
To debug a Caller ID detection on an FXO gateway, take these 6
steps:
Verify that the parameter EnableCallerID is set to 1.
1.
Verify that the caller ID standard (and substandard) of the gateway match the
2.
standard of the PBX (CallerIDType, BellcoreCallerIDTypeOneSubStandard, and
ETSICallerIDTypeOneSubStandard).
Define the number of rings before the gateway starts detection of caller ID
3.
(RingsBeforeCallerID).
Verify that the coefficient file that is loaded on the gateway is correct (if the caller ID
4.
signal is distorted, the gateway won't recognize it).
Connect a phone to the analog line of the PBX (instead of the FXO gateway) and
5.
verify that it displays the caller ID.
Configure the following parameters:
6.
•
FXOSeizeLine = 0
•
RTPOnlyMode = 1 (or 2) – the RTP is sent without SIP signaling
•
Coder G.711
•
In the 'Tel to IP Routing' table, route all calls to the PC used for capturing
•
EnableCallerID = 0
•
RingsBeforeCallerID = 0
•
Set the automatic dialing to hotline (e.g., TargetOfChannel7 = 9005,2)
•
HotLineToneDuration = 0
The above settings allow the FXO to send RTP without immediately seizing the line
after receiving the first ring at your PC. Capture the RTP using Wireshark (you can
also use DSP trace) and send the file to AudioCodes.
To stop the RTP stream, reset the port by clicking the port icon in the Home
Note:
page (refer to 'Resetting a Channel' on page 244).
