To cable the combined MP-11x FXS/FXO Lifeline, take these 2
steps:
Connect a fax machine, modem, or phone to each of the FXS ports.

Connect an analog PSTN line to each of the FXO ports.

Connecting MP-11x to Power

The MP-11x is powered from a standard AC electrical outlet.
Units must be connected (by service personnel) to a socket-outlet with a

To connect MP-11x to the power supply:
Connect the MP-11x power socket to a standard electrical outlet using the supplied
AC power cord.

Installing the MP-124

To install the MP-124, perform the following installation steps in chronological order:
Unpack the MP-124 (refer to 'Unpacking' on page 37).
Check the package contents (refer to 'Package Contents' on page 37).
Mount the MP-124 (refer to 'Mounting the MP-124' on page 37).
Cable the MP-124 (refer to 'Cabling the MP-124' on page 40).
After connecting the MP-124 to the power source, the Ready and LAN LEDs on the front
panel light up green (after a self-testing period of about 1 minute). Any malfunction
changes the Ready LED to red.
When you have completed the above installation steps, you are then ready to start
configuring the gateway (refer to 'Web-based Management' on page 55).
