REPEATER OPERATION

■ Repeater operation
Repeaters allow you to extend the operatonal range of your
rado.
Normally, a repeater has ndependent frequences for re-
ceve and transmt.

■ Accessing a repeater
A repeater amplfies receved sgnals and re-transmts them
on a dfferent frequency, allowng you to communcate over
greater dstances wth mproved relablty. When usng a
repeater, the repeater output channel ('CB-R1' to 'CB-R8')
must be selected.
You can search the accessble repeater n your local area
usng the Repeater search scan functon (p. 21).
q Select the desred repeater output channel ('CB-R1' to
'CB-R8'). (p. 11)
w Whle pushng and holdng [PTT], speak nto the mcro-
phone at your normal voce level.
