OTHER FUNCTIONS

■ Smart-Ring and ATS
These functons have an answer back feature, and allow
you to confirmaton of whether or not a call has reached the
recevng party even f the operator s temporarly away from
the transcever. The Smart-Rng s for manual, and the ATS
s for automatc confirmaton.
D Smart-Ring
q Set the same CTCSS tone frequency for all of the group
transcevers and turn the tone squelch ON. (pgs. 22, 34)
w Push [Top]

• " " appears.
• When a member of a specfc group answers a call, "ë" and
"FOUND" blnk.
• When no answer back s receved, the transcever emts short
falure beep tones and "FAILD" appears.

e Push [PTT] to answer and to stop blnkng.
NOTE: The Smart-Rng functon s avalable only when
the called staton has set the same CTCSS tone fre-
quency and the same operatng channel as you.

party automatcally sends an answer back sgnal wthout
any pre-settngs. All IC-41S's operatng on the same
operatng channel wll answer back to the call n the sur-
roundngs communcatons area.

• When RX channel s selected, error beep s emtted.
• The transcever starts to send a searchng sgnal every 60 sec.
• " " appears and " " starts blnkng on the dsplay when the
functon s actvated.
• When the transcever receves an answer back sgnal, " " stays
on the dsplay untl the next search transmt.
