■ General

In addton to the tone squelch operaton for slent stand-by,
the SelCall operaton s avalable. SelCall s an abbreva-
ton for "Selectve Callng." In tone squelch operaton, there
are 155 ways to make an ndvdual call wth CTCSS tone
frequences/DTCS codes versus 100,000 ways to make an
ndvdual call wth SelCall usng 5tone.
SelCall allows you to selectvely call another unt that s op-
eratng on the same channel.
SelCall can also call the entre group on that channel usng
tone squelch code.
The caller staton code/name, status message, Answer Back
functon, automatc scan start functon, etc. are avalable wth
SelCall operaton. A varety of functons are avalable de-
pendng on the settng wth the CS-41S

NOTE:
• Channels 5 and 35 are used for the emergency channels,
and SelCall operaton s not avalable on these channels.
• SelCall transmsson s restrcted for total of 3 sec. n a
mnute. If your try to transmt over 3 sec., "N/A" appears
(when (Call) s pushed,) or error beep s emtted
(when [PTT] s pushed.)
