TONE SQUELCH OPERATION
■ Tone squelch operation
The transcever s equpped wth 51 CTCSS tone frequences,
104 DTCS codes. CTCSS/DTCS operaton provdes com-
muncaton wth slent standby snce you wll only receve calls
from group members usng the same CTCSS tone frequency/
DTCS code.
NOTE: Channels 5 and 35 are used for the emergency
channels, and CTCSS/DTCS operaton s not avalable on
these channels.

q Select the desred channel except for channels 5 and 35.

w Push and hold [Top]
mode.
e Push [Top] several tmes untl "C" appears.
r Push
to toggle the CTCSS tone frequency/DTCS
code settng mode.
t Push [CH Up] or [CH Down] to set the desred CTCSS
tone frequency/DTCS code.
