■ Wide/Narrow function
Ths functon temporarly/permanently changes the band-
wdth between wde or narrow on the RX channel only.
q Select the desred RX channel. (p. 31)
w Enter the RX VFO mode. (p. 31)
* to toggle the bandwdth between wde or nar-
e Push

Wide channel spacing is selected
Narrow channel spacing is selected
r Push and hold [Top]* for 2 sec. to return to the normal
operaton condton.
• The bandwdth settng s memorzed to the channel.
• Pushng [Top]* also returns to the normal operaton condton.
In ths case, the bandwdth settng s not memorzed to the
channel. (temporary operaton)
*Regardless of the assgned key functon.
■ PTT hold function
The PTT swtch can be operated as a one-touch PTT swtch
(each push toggles between transmt/receve). Usng ths
functon you can transmt wthout pushng and holdng the
PTT swtch.
To prevent accdental, contnuous transmsson wth ths
functon, the tme-out tmer functon s automatcally set to
the transcever. See p. 12 for detals.
q Turn the power OFF.
w Whle pushng and holdng [PTT], rotate [VOL] to turn
power ON to turn the PTT hold functon ON.
• "P-HOLD ON" s dsplayed for 1 sec.
e Push [PTT] to transmt and push agan to receve.
• " " appears whle transmttng.
r Repeat steps q and w to turn the PTT hold functon OFF.
NOTE for the optional microphone operation:
Ths functon does not actvate when the PTT swtch on
the optonal mcrophone s pushed. And even f the trans-
cever transmts wth ths functon, the PTT swtch on the
optonal mcrophone must be pushed to speak.
