4-4 Repeater Operation
.When
operating
the transceiver
with
a station through a
repeater, the repeater transmits your signal, allowing you
to communicate with long distance stations even when low
output power is selected.

1) Set the receive frequency (repeater output frequency).
2) Push [FUNC] then push [MONITOR] to select —Duplex.
e Shift frequency is set at 600 kHz.
e Each push of [FUNC]
and [MONITOR]
in sequence
selects
— Duplex > +Duplex > Simplex.
3) Push and hold the PTT switch to transmit.
4) Release PTT to receive.
5) Push [MONITOR] to check the repeater input frequency.

CALL
(Europe version)
1) Quickly push the PTT switch 2 times and briefly hold
the switch down (second push).
eA 1750 Hz tone is transmitted.
2) Release and then push the PTT switch again to transmit
your voice signal.
