Adding memory
Your computerÕs random-access memory (RAM) can be increased. Memory is increased by
installing or replacing memory modules The computer uses DIMMs, or dual in-line memory
modules for RAM. Make sure that the memory modules you purchase are the right ones for
your computer. See Appendix B, ÒTechnical Information,Ó on page 153 for technical
speciÞcations.
What you need to know about adding RAM
The computer has eight DIMM slots on the motherboard, near the front of the computer, (see
the following motherboard illustration).
