5.8 Mathematical Calculations
Real time Display
In real time display the raw data is displayed, except for the wind direction.
Wind Direction
Vector – The direction of a vector that is the sum of 11 unit
vectors whose directions are the current wind direction and the
previous 10 wind directions measurements
Freq – The most frequent direction of the current direction plus
the previous 10 wind directions measurements
Rose – The last 1000 wind directions are scattered in polar
coordinates so that current data is in the outer radius and previous
data moves toward the center.
Wind Gust
The maximum wind speed during the last saving interval
Minimum and Maximum Temperatures
The minimum and maximum temperatures of the last day
Dew Point
Dew point is the temperature to which air must be cooled for saturation (100%
relative humidity) to occur, providing there is no change in water content.
The dew point calculation uses the relative humidity – RH (%) and the
