Parity
Definition:
The last cell in the symbol (the bar furthest from the gate bar) can con-
tain a parity bar , if enabled. If enabled for Odd and the number of bars is
not odd, the parity bar will be added in the last cell. If enabled for Even
and the number of bars is not even, a parity bar is added to the last cell.
Usage:
A parity bar is added to make the count conform to its setting.
Serial Cmd:

Number of Fields
Definition:
The number of fields is the number of cells in which a bar can be dis-
played. An OMR application typically has from 8 to 32 fields.
Usage:
The number of fields depends on the symbols you will be scanning. It is
important to set this correctly or your data will be invalid.
