Recording
a picture
When you shoot a subject with the light source behind
the suloject or a suloject with a
light background,
use the backlight
ftmction.
Set tile POWER switch to CAMERA or MEMORY/NETWORK
(DCR TRV50 only),
press BACK LIGHT.
The [] indicator appears oil tile screen. To cancel, press BACK LIGHT again.

When shooting backlit subjects
If you press EXPOSURE or SPOT METER, tile backlight timction will be canceled
(p. 68).
Using NightShot
Tile NightShot enahles you to shoot a subject in a dark place. For example, you can
satisfimtorily record the environment of nocturnal animals for observation when you
use this f\mction.
Set the POWER switch to CAMERA or MEMORY/NETWORK
(DCR TRV50 only),
slide NIGHTSHOT to ON.
The {i_and "NIGHTSHOT" indicators flash on the screen. To cancel the NightShot,
slide NIGHTSHOT to OFF.
