Connecting your camcorder to your computer using the USB cable
- For Windows users
@ Turn the POWER switch to OFF (CHG) on your camcorder, and then
discoimect the USB cable.
(_) Restart your computer.
Step 2: Install the USB driver on the supplied CD-ROM
Perf_orm tile entire procedure described in "Installing tile USB driver" oil page 179.
Viewing images recorded on a "Memory Stick"
Step1: Uninstall the incorrect USBdriver
@ Turn oil your coinputer and allow Windows to load.
@ Insert a "Memory Stick" into your canlcorder.
@ Connect tile AC power adaptor, and set tile POWER switch to MEMORY/
NETWORK (DCR TRV50
only).
@ Connect tile USB connector on your computer to tile _ (USB) jack on your
camcorder using the USB cable supplied with your camcorder.
@ Open your computer's "Device Manager".
Windows 2000 Professional:
Select "My Computer" ---+"Control Panel" ---+"Systenf' ---+"Hardware", and
click the "Device Manager" button.
Other OS:
Select "My Colnputer" ---+"Control Panel" ---+"Systenf', and click "Device
Manager".
@ Select "Other devices".
Select the device prefixed with the "?" mark and delete.
Ex: (?)Sony Handycam
@ Turn tile POWER switch to OFF (CHG) on your camcorder, and then
disconnect the USB cable.
@ Restart your computer.
Step2: Install the USB driver on the supplied CD-ROM
Perf_orm the entire procedure described in "Installing the USB driver" on page 179.
