After the original is scanned, change pages and then press the START
key if you have another page to scan.

Repeat this step until all pages have been scanned into memory.

When the final page has been scanned, press the # key.

The receiving machine is automatically dialed and transmission begins.

To cancel the transmission, press the CLEAR key in the transmission job status screen as
explained on page 37.

If the other machine does not respond after 45 seconds of ringing or the line is busy, your
machine will break the connection and then automatically reattempt the transmission. (See
page 29)

Storing a Transmission Job while the Machine is Sending or Receiving

You can store a fax transmission job while the machine is busy receiving a fax or sending a fax by
memory transmission. The procedure for storing a job is the same as for sending a fax. Up to 50 jobs
can be stored at once (note that 50 jobs may not be possible if a large number of pages are stored or a
high resolution setting is used).

Stored transmission jobs can be checked in the TIMER LIST. (See page 123)

If a transmission job goes into recall mode because the line is busy, any subsequently stored jobs will
be sent before recalling is performed.

Place the original on the platen glass or insert it into the SPF. (See
pages 21, 22)

Check and adjust the original size, resolution, and exposure settings as necessary.
