SETTING THE PAPER SIZE OF THE PAPER TRAYS

The paper size of the paper trays is initially set to 8-1/2" x 11". A separate size can be set for each tray.
A paper size cannot be set for the manual feed tray.
Paper size selections are 11" x 17", 8-1/2" x 14", 8-1/2" x 13", 8-1/2" x 11", 8-1/2" x 11"R, 5-1/2" x 8-1/2",
A3, B4, A4, A4R, B5, B5R, and A5. However, please note that 8-1/2 x 13", A3, B4, B5, B5R, and A5
cannot be used for fax. A5 can only be selected in the uppermost tray, and B5 cannot be selected in the
paper tray 2.

When changing a paper size setting for a tray, load the paper in the tray first and then change the setting.

Press the SPECIAL FUNCTIONS key, use the
"PAPER SIZE SET", and then press the OK key.

The highlighting moves to the paper size selection box on the right.

The changed paper size appears when you press the OK key.

Only the length of the paper is detected. For this reason, if the length of a received fax image
and the length of the paper are the same but the width of the paper is smaller than the width of
the fax image, the sides of the fax will be cut off when printed.

The machine cannot correctly detect the difference between paper sizes 8-1/2" x 11" and A4,
and 8-1/2" x 11"R and A4R. Be sure to check the paper size and establish the correct setting.

If only 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" paper is loaded, parts of received fax images may not be printed,
depending of the widths and length of the image. Printing is not possible on 8-1/2" x 13", A3,
B4, B5, B5R, or A5 paper. Load the correct size of paper as instructed by the message in the
display. When the correct size of paper is loaded, printing begins automatically.
