F-CODE COMMUNICATION
A document sent by F-code transmission will be sent as a confidential document if the memory box in
the receiving machine that matches the specified sub-address and passcode is an F-code confidential
box.
If the memory box in the receiving machine that matches the specified sub-address and passcode is an
F-code relay group box, the receiving machine will receive the F-code transmission data as a relay
machine and in turn send the transmitted document to each of the end receiving machines in the relay
group.
* When sending a document by F-code confidential transmission, if you mistakenly specify a sub-
address and passcode for an F-code relay group in the receiving machine, the document may be
broadcast to the machines in the relay group. For this reason, take care to ensure that the sub-address
and passcode you specify are correct.
Place the original on the platen glass or in the SPF, adjust the original size, resolution, and exposure
settings as needed, and then follow the steps below.

Check with the operator of the receiving machine to make sure the F-code (sub-address and
passcode) is correct before performing this procedure.
