TIMER TRANSMISSION

This function allows you to set up a fax transmission or polling operation to take place automatically at
a specified time up to a week in advance. This allows you to take advantage of off-peak rates without
having to be there when the operation is performed.

Timer transmission can be used with the following operations:
(1) Normal transmission (See page 28)
(2) Broadcast transmission (See page 70)
(3) Confidential transmission (See page 74)
(4) Relay request transmission (See page 77)

Up to 50 timer transmissions can be stored at once. However, only one polling operation, one serial
polling operation, and one F-code polling operation can be set at once.

Timer transmission requires that the original be scanned into memory. The original cannot be left on
the platen glass or in the SPF for scanning at the specified time of transmission.

If a day of the week is not specified after setting the transmission time, the transmission will take
place at the specified time within the next 24 hours.

A relay group must be stored before a relay request transmission can be performed. (See page 78)

Transmission will take place at the specified time even if the machine is in Copy mode.

The date and time is set in the machine using the key operator program. (See page 151)

Timer Transmission Settings

Transmission settings are selected after setting up a timer transmission.
(You can also select transmission settings first and then set the timer transmission before pressing the
START key to begin transmission.)
