STATUS MESSAGES

The display messages alert you to the status of operation. Take the indicated action when any of the
following displays appear.
Message
Canceled.
Line error.
[OK]
Maintenance
required.
Call for service.
[OK]:RETURN
Please return X
original(s).
[START]:CONTINUE
Open TRAYx and
add xxx paper.
[OK]:RETURN
Remove paper from
the upper tray.
[OK]:RETURN
Clear paper path.
Close the cover.
(Toner cartridge
replacement required

Toner is low.
Add toner.
Can not copy or print.
Meaning
A line error prevented
completion of the
transaction.
It is time for
maintenance and
inspection.
A misfeed occurred in
the SPF.
A fax has been received
but the paper tray does
not have suitable paper.
The paper tray is open.
The upper part of the
job separator is full of
paper.
A job separator error
occurred.
A paper misfeed
occurred in the output
section.
The cover is open.
Toner is low.
There is no toner.
Action
Try the transaction
again.
Contact your dealer.
Reload the indicated
pages of the original.
Add paper.
Close the paper tray.
Remove the paper.
Press the CLEAR ALL
key and remove the
error.
Remove the jammed
paper.
Close the cover.
Replacement of the
toner cartridge will be
needed soon. (This
message will be
displayed if the
information key is
pressed when the
information ( ) icon is

displayed.)
Replace the toner
cartridge.
