If you used a rapid dialing or Speed Dial number in Step 4 that has an F-code (sub-address
and passcode) programmed, the programmed sub-address and passcode will respectively
appear in steps 5 and 6. If each is correct, press the OK key and proceed to the next step.

F-code Confidential Transmission

When you send a document by F-code confidential transmission, the document is received to the
memory (the F-code confidential box) of the receiving machine. The document cannot be printed until
the print passcode (0000 to 9999) is entered. This function is convenient when sending important
documents that you only want a specific person to see, or when multiple departments share a single fax
machine. You can also program an F-code confidential box to receive F-code confidential
transmissions.

Up to 10 confidential boxes can be programmed, and a name up to 36 characters long can be assigned
to each.

F-code confidential boxes and print passcodes
The F-code confidential box is a memory box for F-code confidential reception, and the print passcode
is an ID number for printing.

The stored F-code (sub-address and passcode) and the print passcode are secret and cannot
be shown in the display. Take care not to forget them. If you do happen to forget them, use the
key operator program to print the sub-address setting list. (See page 144)
