Closed defect summary
When performing Power On Reset (POR) on an HP StorageWorks DC
SAN Director in a FICON environment, a kernel panic causes the
switch to crash and reboot.
An HP Storageworks 1606 SAN Extension Switch crashes after con-
necting FCIP ports to a test device that performs various perturba-
tions/error injection on the port.
A strict fabric-wide policy conflict occurs on dual CP switches (directors)
after an HA failover, leading to switch segmentation.
In a FICON environment, block port is not displayed in the IPL file
after host blocks port in-band, due to IPL file not being updated.
In a FICON environment, RLIR of DRLIR in an interopmode 2 fabric
does not contain a domain offset of 0x60 in PID and TAG fields.
A HP StorageWorks 1606 SAN Extension Switch panicked and
crashed during an overnight I/O test in FMS mode (FICON CUP).
Internal FICON error occurs during a port swap in FMS mode.
After a non-disruptive firmware upgrade, when a port on an HP Stor-
ageWorks 1606 SAN Extension Switch is changed from EX_Port to
NPIV, NPIV devices cannot log in to the switch.
FICON emulation does not handle the abort sequence correctly, which
causes DSO FICON CRC errors during XRC RRS processing. Eventually,
the session that encountered the error becomes suspended.
When running a third-party host scan, the http daemon
(weblinker.fcg) terminats and restarts several times, causing a
temporary management service interruption.
HP StorageWorks DC SAN Director panics due to a termination of
msd during fabric reconfiguration while executing a switchdis-
able—agshow—switchenable loop in a fabric with an Access
Gateway device with more than 56 switches.
The SNMP manager gets incorrect MIB information from a switch
running FOS 6.1.x due to a change in SwFwEPortUtil and SwFwEPort-
Pktl between SW_v5_7 to SW_v5_8 MIB.
In a 2408 FCoE Switch and a 10/24 FCoE Blade, when CNA sends
FIP ver=0, the switch should not validate the MAC descriptor field for
backwards compatibility, but it does, leading to the switch rejecting
the login.
Supportsave does not clear the FFDC files, leading to continued
FFDC file warnings being issued until a second supportsave is taken.
