Description
Fabric OS 6.2.0b introduced support for the HP StorageWorks Encryption SAN Switch and the HP
DC Switch Encryption FC Blade. Fabric OS 6.2.0g continues this support. These products provide
the following features:
Data encryption support for B-series fabrics
Key management support for HP Secure Key Manager (SKM)
Fabric OS 6.2.0a integrated the following new features (these features continue to be supported in
Fabric OS 6.2.0g):
Support for the HP StorageWorks DC04 SAN Director
192 ports, 8–Gb technology in 8U chassis (without required front airflow mounting kit, 9U
with kit)
Supports existing 8–Gb FC blades (16, 32, and 48 port)
Supports existing 10–Gb 6 port ISL blade
Supports existing Multi-protocol Router blade
Supports ICL connectivity to other DC04 and DC SAN Backbone directors
Virtual Fabrics (VF)
Full VF feature support on HP StorageWorks DC SAN Backbone Director, HP StorageWorks
DC04 SAN Director, HP StorageWorks 8/80 SAN Switch, and HP StorageWorks 8/40 SAN
Switch.
Single physical chassis that can be subdivided into two or more logical switches, creating a
logical fabric with other switches.
Per-port assignment of ports to logical switches
Shared ISLs providing connectivity for multiple logical fabrics
FCR and FCIP enhancements
FCIP (SCSI) read tape pipelining
SoTCP enhancements
LSAN tagging
