Checking the Potential Control System

START
Start non-potential control mode

NO
Is the problem corrected?
YES
Turn OFF the power switch.
Short J127-1 and -2 on the DC
controller PCB with a jumper wire.
Disconnect J103.
(zero-level check)
Turn ON the power switch.
Start service mode

NO
Replace the DC controller PCB.
P023 between '0003' and '001B'
during initial rotation?
YES
Turn OFF the power switch.
Remove the jumper wire used to
short J127-1 and -2 on the DC
controller PCB. Connect J103.
Turn ON the power switch.
Check to make sure that the potential
measurement PCB is supplied with
power, and replace the potential
measurement unit.

YES
Start non-potential control.

PCB during copying. (STEP A)

Select 'TC' (transfer charging
assembly current) in service mode

referring to 48 "Potential Control
Conversion Table."

high-voltage transformer.

Is the problem corrected?

Check the transfer charging
assembly for leakage.
Try changing the value of 'FUZZY'
in service mode (

Try replacing the copy paper.

Start potential control.

Select the ON voltage limiter for the
scanning lamp.

Clean the standard white plate,
mirror, lens, and dust-proofing

the power switch.

Start non-potential control .
