Checks
1 Is the waste toner feeding screw
drive gear pushing the waste
toner feeding screw lock detection
switch (MSW4)?
2 Does the voltage between J114B-
1 (+) and J114B-2 (–) on the DC
controller PCB change from about
5 to about 0 V?
3 Does the harness of the vertical
path roller drive clutch have an
open circuit?

CHAPTER 10 TROUBLESHOOTING
YES/NO Action
YES The feeding screw inside
the waste toner pipe
may be locked because
of an obstacle. Remove
the waste toner pipe,
and try turning the screw
by hand. If it turns
smoothly, install it once
again and see if the
problem has been
corrected. If it does not
turn, replace the waste
toner pipe after
correcting the cause.
NO Replace MSW4.
YES Replace the DC
controller PCB.
YES Replace CL15.
