Interface Configuration Mode

Interface configuration commands modify specific IP interface settings, including bridge-group,
description, etc.
VLAN Database Mode
The VLAN mode contains commands to create and configure a VLAN as a whole, for example, to
create a VLAN and apply an IP address to the VLAN. The following is an example of the VLAN
mode prompt:
Console # vlan database
Console (config-vlan)#
Port Channel Mode
The Port Channel mode contains commands for configuring Link Aggregation Groups (LAG). The
following is an example of the Port Channel mode prompt:
Console (config)# interface port-channel 1
Console (config-if)#
Interface Mode
The Interface mode contains commands that configure the interface. The Global Configuration
mode command interface ethernet is used to enter the interface configuration mode. The
following is an example of the Interface mode prompt:
console> enable
console# configure
console(config)# interface ethernet g18
console(config-if)#
Management Access List
The Management Access List mode contains commands to define management access-lists. The
Global Configuration mode command management access-list is used to enter the
Management Access List Configuration mode.
The following example shows how to create an access-list called "mlist", configure two management
interfaces ethernet g1 and ethernet g9, and make the access-list the active list:
Console (config)# management access-list mlist
Console (config-macl)# permit ethernet g1
Console (config-macl)# permit ethernet g9
