Updating Nonvolatile Storage Areas
The .fru and .sdr files are specific to a particular server platform. The files include header
information to identify the platform. The utility verifies that a file is being used with the correct
server before updating any information in nonvolatile storage. Prior to updating the SDR
information, the SDR area in nonvolatile storage is cleared.
