Connect PORT A, B or C of the XDS Encoder to one of the serial ports
(typically COM1 or COM2) of your computer. Figure 2-4 below shows the
typical cable wiring diagram to connect Port A, B or C and a personal
computer. If none of the ports have been altered from the factory settings,
you can use a standard "NULL MODEM" cable to connect your PC to any
port.
If you are connecting only one computer running XDS encoding
software, we recommend connecting it to port C.
